How Rankera gets brands into AI Overviews

More content in more places means more AI Overview citations

  1. 1
Research what the AI recommendsWe read the AI Overviews in your market, see which brands and sources they name, and plan the searches worth winning.
  2. 2
Publish everywhere the AI looksEach target search gets an article, a Medium post, a YouTube video, a Short, an Instagram Reel and a GitHub Gist.
  3. 3
Track every search, every dayWe check each target search in Google's AI Overviews daily, so you see when your brand is named and linked.

Why videos matter. In our study of 30,613 AI Overviews, YouTube was the single most cited source, at 14% of all citations. That is why one search above has 8 of our videos among its 9 sources.

How we filmed it

Real Google searches, recorded as Google served them

Every search was typed into google.com on 23 October 2026 from a US location, in a fresh browser with no account and no history. We saved each results page exactly as Google served it, then replayed it to film the highlights; Google's text is unchanged. AI Overviews are written fresh for every search, so the answer can differ when you search, and some of these searches took more than one try before the brand appeared.

Is this a real Google search?

Yes. Every search was typed into google.com on 23 October 2026 from a US location, in a fresh browser with no account and no history, which is what incognito means. We saved each results page as Google served it and only added the yellow highlights.

Will I see the same answer if I search now?

Not always. Google writes a new AI Overview for every search, so the wording and the brands can change from one search to the next. Some of these searches took more than one try before the brand appeared, and we show the one we recorded. The aim of the work is to make a brand show up as often as possible.

Why do so many of your videos appear as sources?

Google's AI Overviews cite YouTube more than any other single site. In our study of 30,613 AI Overviews, YouTube was 14% of all citations. Rankera turns each target search into a video and a Short as well as articles, so when Google looks for sources on that question, our pages and videos are there to quote.

What does Rankera do for a brand?

Rankera is a done-for-you AI visibility service. We research who AI answers recommend in your market, plan the searches worth winning, and publish the content that gets your brand named: articles, Medium posts, YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels and GitHub Gists. Then we check every target search in Google's AI Overviews every day.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $250 a month for 20 keywords, with each keyword getting an article, a Medium post, a YouTube video, a Short, an Instagram Reel and a GitHub Gist. Larger plans cover 50 to 350 keywords a month.
